Target Audience: Neonatologists, Pediatricians, Anesthetists, ER physicians, EMS physicians, Nurses and RT dealing with newborn babies.

Learning Objectives of the Course:

• Prepare and check the equipment’s for normal and complicated deliveries.
• Recognize the signs and symptoms of a neonate in cardiorespiratory distress.
• Explain the indications for and perform the steps of neonatal resuscitation.
• Perform effective airway management, including bag-mask ventilation, endotracheal intubation, and the use of T-piece resuscitators.
• Explain the indications and contraindications of medications used during neonatal resuscitation.
• Execute effective neonatal resuscitation as the team leader and/or team member.
• Describe special circumstances that require a different approach to newborn care, including the presence of meconium at deliveries, premature deliveries, and ethical considerations.
