Learning Objectives of the Course:

• Perform high‐quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as per the American Heart Association (AHA) basic life support (BLS) recommendations.
• Differentiate between patients who do and do not require immediate intervention.
• Recognize cardiopulmonary arrest early and initiate basic and advanced resuscitation.
• Apply team dynamics.
• Differentiate between respiratory distress and failure and perform early interventions.
• Differentiate between compensated and decompensated (hypotensive) shock and perform early interventions for the treatment of various types of shock.
• Differentiate and treat unstable and stable children with arrhythmias.
• Describe clinical characteristics of instability in children with arrhythmias.
• Implement post–cardiac arrest management.
